MIDWOR-LIFE is a project cofounded by LIFE+ programme that aims to reduce the impact on the environment, human health and worker safety, of current Durable Water and Oil Repellents (DWOR) used in the textile industry and their alternatives, by analyzing their environmental impact and technical functionalities.

Between 2009 and 2016, the Xunta de Galicia, through the Ministry of Marine Affairs, allocated more than EUR 260 million for the improvement and modernization of the seafood processing industry.

 

This was indicated by the head of this council, Rosa Quintana, during the inauguration of the VIII Workshop of the Spanish Society of Probiotics and Prebiotics, where she also stressed the Galician government’s goal to continue “stimulating the use of all available supports in this field to generate added value.”
