H2020-EIC-FTI-2018-2020: Hungarian engineering company is looking for partners for pre-clinical /clinical validation and commercialisation of medical grade vaporiser
A Hungarian engineering company is developing a medical grade vaporiser for medicinal herbs. The device enables efficient and precise dosing of useful ingredients by vaporising valuable active ingredients from dry herbs directly, without the emission of any harmful compounds. The company seeks partners for pre-clinical and clinical testing of the device under a proposal for the H2020 EIC-FTI-2018-2020 call; as well as producers/distributors of medicinal herbs, in particular medical cannabis.
The technology enables inhalation of medical herb vapour at precisely controllable low temperature and airflow rate. This ensures that the active ingredients in the herbs are not degraded and enables optimal and very precise dosing. This is achieved by an innovative combination of a combustion-less vaporisation method and highly sophisticated control technology.
The possibility of consistent and precise dosing will bring considerable benefits to all stakeholders in the field of medical cannabis. Both doctors and patients currently have to use guesswork to determine how much cannabis should be used, with trial and error often leading to unsatisfactory experiences. Punctual dosing is necessary in clinical trials for specific medical indications as well.
